Ann Pinkney

A newbie to the village of Wilburton, I only moved here with my family at the end of last year.
You may therefore ask, why did I want to become your Parish Councillor?
I am passionate about communities and creating a sense of belonging so people can live healthily and happy in their homes and feel safe and secure in their environment.
I chaired our previous South Cambs Village Hall committee for 15 years, where we supported the community and facilitated community events. I have been a self employed nutritionist for over 25 years where I support the individual on their personal health journey, but I have also worked for Cambridgeshire County Council for the last 6 years, supporting the Parishes and Communities of Huntingdonshire to identify and address gaps in service to ensure communities can be fully inclusive and thrive.
Latterly, my work with Adult Social Care, supporting and developing local Care businesses, has taken me across both Huntingdonshire and the East Districts.
I hope my many years experience of Community development, working with individuals, groups, parishes, and district and county councillors will help me serve the people of Wilburton.
