Wilburton Community Baptist Church has been at its location in the centre of the village for over 200 years.
The long term vision for the church is ‘That God’s love will be known throughout Wilburton’.
Over the last few years we have focused our efforts on making the Baptist church the centre of village life for Wilburton families.
We have tried to achieve this both by encouraging more local community groups to use the excellent facilities at the church and also by introducing new activities that village residents can join in with.
We are absolutely thrilled that the church building is now being used by so many community groups and that the feedback from everyone is so positive.
Although Wilburton Community Baptist Church is becoming more and more popular as a community venue, the church remains entirely self-funding. The only regular source of income we have comes from the relatively few people who attend on a Sunday morning.
We have been very grateful for a legacy left to the church and for donations that we have received over the years from the Fireworks Committee which have enabled us to carry out much needed refurbishment to the church buildings.
