Playgrounds reopening risk assessment and notices
Wilburton Parish Council has reopened the Recreation Playground as of Monday 13th July 2020, due to recent work carried out on the play equipment it was deemed that this equipment is suitable to return to use by the public.
The Berristead Playground will be opened at a later date after it has been subjected to a thorough inspection
Notices will be highly visible at both sites informing users that the equipment is NOT cleaned by the Council and they use it at their own risk.
Notices outlining guidelines to be followed as a result of this risk assessment will also be displayed at both sites.

COVID 19 Relief Grant
Wilburton Parish Council secured a grant from the Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund of £3,000. The fund will be administered by the Clerk and Assistant Clerk on behalf of the Parish Council.
The
terms and conditions of the grant state that the Parish Council must:
– ensure that the grant is specifically for older and/or vulnerable residents
living within the Parish of Wilburton
– support residents who are feeling lonely, isolated and/or may be struggling
financially
Successful applications can ask for funds to help with food supplies, newspapers, books, jigsaws, delivery of cut flowers or a plant, hobbies; such as gardening, sewing and knitting and volunteer travel expenses.

You will then be contacted by either Rixon (Parish Clerk) or Kara (Assistant Clerk) in order to complete the process.
Grants will be made over the next five months (end of October 2020) until such time the Parish Council has spent the grant it has received.
