Wilburton Parish Council secured a grant from the Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund of £3,000. The fund will be administered by the Clerk and Assistant Clerk on behalf of the Parish Council.

The terms and conditions of the grant state that the Parish Council must:
– ensure that the grant is specifically for older and/or vulnerable residents living within the Parish of Wilburton
– support residents who are feeling lonely, isolated and/or may be struggling financially

Successful applications can ask for funds to help with food supplies, newspapers, books, jigsaws, delivery of cut flowers or a plant, hobbies; such as gardening, sewing and knitting and volunteer travel expenses.

Grants will be made over the next five months (end of October 2020) until such time the Parish Council has spent the grant it has received.
